ANTENNE BAYERN

Traffic reports in the car in the morning, a favourite podcast at lunchtime, the programme on the TV in the evening: for ANTENNE BAYERN we built a completely new digital home. Apps for iPhone and Android, smart TV apps, a Sonos integration and an Alexa skill, all cut from the same cloth.

In the app, everyone puts together their own programme. Streams, podcasts, playlists and articles can be favourited and subscribed to, and they all land in the For You section across every platform, together with weather and traffic for the listener's location. In the car, favourite podcasts and streams simply keep playing via CarPlay and Android Auto.

On top come the features regular listeners have loved for years: breaking news, traffic reports, weather, speed camera alerts and an alarm clock. New is the direct line to the studio by voice message. And the big player lets listeners like songs, connect speakers via AirPlay and set a sleep timer.

From the start, this project was bigger than one app. We conceived and designed app and website for the ANTENNE BAYERN GROUP, and SEDA.digital then built the website. The foundation is a component library that adapts to every station, and the iOS and Android apps are developed with Flutter. The apps for ROCK ANTENNE, 80er 90er OLDIE ANTENNE and CHILLOUT ANTENNE grew from the same basis, and the system is open to external audio publishers as well.
