Sat.1 Regional brings regional news to Northern Germany, reporting from Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony and Bremen. Its focus is video-first journalism that delivers local stories from politics, crime, sport, culture and business straight to its viewers.
For the relaunch we rebuilt the entire digital platform. A headless CMS based on Payload puts the editorial team at the centre, while a high-performance SolidStart frontend delivers the content. The goal was a platform that serves video-heavy stories quickly and reliably while taking routine work off the editors' hands.
The result is a modern news platform that delivers regional content quickly, clearly and always up to date. Automated imports, scheduled publishing and an automatic media sync let the editorial team focus on what matters: relevant stories for the North.
