Büffelradio
One tap and Lorenz Büffel's party station is on: in the car via CarPlay, at home by voice command through Alexa, or on the go on your phone. Büffelradio brings Mallorca hits and party anthems to its fans around the clock, and we built the apps for it. The station went live on 9 June 2026, running on the I LOVE MUSIC infrastructure.
The goal was clear: from day one, Büffelradio had to be wherever people party, and feel the same everywhere. So we built native apps for iOS and Android that fit right into each system. The stream starts straight away, can be controlled from the lock screen, the control centre and via AirPlay, and keeps playing in the car through CarPlay and Android Auto, stripped down to what you need while driving.
Joining in is part of Büffelradio. Current Malle hits meet classics, and fans request their favourite songs live from the app. Push notifications bring them back whenever there is news from the station, for example during the World Cup prediction game. And anyone without a free hand simply starts the party by asking Alexa.
Under the hood, the apps use the existing I LOVE MUSIC platform: stream, content and song requests come live from its API and CMS. The interface is driven by the CMS and can be updated at any time without a new app release. Audio playback is native and runs reliably and battery-friendly in the background, so the party keeps going with the screen locked.
